Just wanted to thank you all for yet another awesome LAN party! Though it was small group, we all had a blast. I can't wait for the next one either. Yes we did play a bit of SC2, BF3, and some COD4. But for next month we're going to fit in some requested games like Serious Sam2 co-op. We are working at getting our dedicated server to host Quake 4 and UT2K4 4 way CTF like we had before. Nothing can beat those instagib and freeze tag games that we used to play. Thanks go out to Gumby bringing the hot wings. Congrats to Deathbell and Tomahawk for joining me to guide this club to what looks to be another great year. And thanks for all of the others of you who came and made it another fun NGC lanparty.
What a great LANparty! I knew there was a reason we've been doing this for 12 years now. The greatest part of this LAN was the guys coming from oklahoma and introducing us to all the members of the NNC club. I had a great time playing and listening to all the chatter. I hope they didn't get tired of me hollering as I get into the action too. The food was a fantastic feast and kudos to everyone that brought something. All of you made it what it was. Looking forward to see all of you next month.

***Attention All NGC Gamers*** The NGC, it's officers and all it's yearly paid members have an alliance in effect with the 'No Name Clan' and all it's members. Without going into too much detail, basically the alliance formed allows the resources of the NGC and the resources of the No Named Clan to be shared with each other's organization. NGC members are going to be encouraged to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as well as Battlefield 3 when it becomes available. When the NGC officers feel they have sufficent strength of gamers to play BF:BC2, they will schedule an 'On-Line' LAN party for a scrimmage with the No Name Clan and to the 'victor will go the spoils'... as well as bragging rights. TeamSpeak servers and BF:BC2 servers are available. See an NGC officer for details. Get your computer ready with these programs and be ready for some 'On-Line' gaming action!
In another LAN party debut, we showed off DJ hero for our Xbox-360. A record turn-table is the game controller. You can become the DJ for a variety of music for all ages. The better you are at controlling this new controller, the better the music that gets played. Two DJs can battle it out or have another player join in to 'MC' improv over the music. What a cool game and cool music to have playing at a party! Come try it out at our next LAN party.
Roy Cline and a friend will be attending the NGC LAN-A-GEDDON this month. Roy Cline is the head of the "No Name Clan" out in west Texas (near Lubbock) and will be coming a long way just to visit us. Let's have a good turn out and say howdy to this fellow Gamer.
There is no 'FORCE' like the one that comes from joining forces and no 'STRENGTH' like that of having strength in numbers. When gamers join together they become a force... a force of fun and camaraderie. When a gaming club is strong... its strength comes from the number of gamers that belong to it. Our club works because we have dedicated people focused on ensuring the LAN party is and has fun, food, fraggin, and friendship. Our club works because we have great sponsors who provide all of us a place to play, money for operating, gifts, prizes, and SWAG to give out. A special thanks goes out to TRENDnet and CPU magazine. But mostly, our club works because it has many gamers, gamers like you that belong to it. You are the reason the club is here. Your dues and membership ensure the club will continue to go on and provide the best LAN gaming experience out there. Other clans and LAN parties have come and gone, but ours is solely unique. There are none like it. The NGC has looked for other groups and LAN parties to have "Clan Clashes" with... they aren't there. Gaming Centers are expensive and don't provide the force and strength of a clan or club. Do more than just show up for the LAN party. Make yourself a part of a something greater than just gamers gaming. Make yourself eligible to receive items and prizes given out only to its NGC members. Gamers, We debut our Kinect Xbox-360 at the LAN party. It was my first experience with the Kinect controller. What a blast! And a real work out. I have to say that camera is one of the most sophisticated camera systems I have seen. It's got a great eye for detail and a pretty good response time. It makes a two player games a blast to play. I can't wait to see how a FPS will play. See you next month.
As we finish up this year, we can say it has been a great 2010 season for the NGC. We had some really great LAN parties with great food and cool prizes. Many new games were played like Call of Duty Black Ops and Alien v. Predator. We also sponsored 2 additional LAN parties at Texas A & M university in Commerce. New this year was the purchase of a Kinect ready Xbox 360 and 6 games including Halo 3. We also bought a new 2 Terabyte file server. Our LAN parties always have a 1 Gigabit network, large projector screens, internet access, snacks and drinks. On the horizon are more console games and equipment. Also being built is a full functioning 4 player arcade box with hundreds of your all time favorite games. We believe our future looks bright and we intend on making our club even better next year. We invite you to make 2011 special. Come out and be a part of NGC's LAN-A-GEDDON LAN party. The officers of the NGC want to wish you the very best this holiday season.
Let's close out 2010 a whole lot of heftiness of havoc and mayhem. Keep an eye on the counter so you can get your rigs ready. This months games going down at the LAN-A-GEDDON will be a mega load of COD 4 and 5, with Zombie mods... some heavy AvP, species DM... and finally we'll be rock'n the room with some massive amounts of L4D2.
